Birds of a same feather flocks together.

Good day everyone. Before I go into what I’m gonna talk about, I would like to tell you why I wrote this entry fully in English. It’s easy! I want to change my style of writing! Hehe. Naaa. Actually a friend of mine ( who is really close to me) ask me to write something on my blog in English. That’s why I accept what she asked me to do. Besides, I thought for a while about what she said. It’s a bit boring for readers out there to read my entries in Malay all the time. Plus, it can improve my style of writing in English and can attract foreigners/westerners/native speakers to enjoy reading my blog.  Not to forget even the Malaysians read and understand English too. Go Malaysians!

 So, the title of my entry this time I can say quite interrogating. What does it means by birds of same feather flocks together? Try and guess. This is actually a proverb in English. I never heard this proverb before till I entered my Semester 2 in Degree programme. My lecturer mentioned about it and I can feel something struck me to write about it. Hahaha. Quite normal I guess. You tend to write something that you saw or a thing that made to write bout it.

Cut the fat. Haha. Another English saying that simply means direct to the point.  Birds of a same feather flocks together means something that you say which means people who have similar characters or similar interests will often choose to spend time together (Online Phrases Meaning , 2011). Now you get the definition, it’s time to read more about it based on my perception/stories.

According to the meaning, it is a group of people with same interest. This happens to me. I am still in higher education. Thus, I am selective with my friends. I don’t really care about the quantity of my friends. I am rather worrying on the quality of my friends. I prefer have 5 best friends rather than 100 acquaintances. The five best friends are the friends that have the similar characteristic with me or those with the best qualities that I want to mingle all the time.

In my college, I can see few cliques that always cling together no matter what. Let me named few of the groups available. There are the effeminate group, the pious group, the bitchy group, the nerd group, the gamers group and so on. Thought if I list all cliques, it will take forever to think. Haha. Well, I lie in the hyper group. It is a group where all my best friends are really crazy like. We are somehow outspoken and we do have similar interest. Haha.

My best friends including myself love to gossips. Hahaha. Who doesn’t right? Everybody gossips. We also love shopping and spend money on entertainment which includes fancy meals, movie ticket and branded attire. Haha. More like bitchy now huh? Well, we are not bitchy for sure. All of us still take good care of our personal well beings. Hoho. Thats why we are same birds who flocks together. It is because, we spend most of our time together. In class, on phone and hostel. We are not anti-socialising people but we prefer to stick together as a team. When we stick together, we will feel stronger gutsy. Besides, we share the same interest. How can you expect people who are devoted to God to mingle well with us? They do not love gossips BUT, they GOSSIPS among their cliques. And that’s not a lie.

Enough about my group lets move on to the pious cliques. They too cling among themselves too. Why? Same reason. They have the same characteristics and have similar interest. Neither being cynical nor sceptical, it is obvious that they are close with people with their similarities. May be it’s because they know that they have this knowledge, hence they clique with people who have the knowledge as well. They do not really care on other group and worst scenario is, they MOCK other group of people. I will explain more on this kind of group in my other entry. Will tell you which post it will be. Hehe. But, I can promise you this now, the post will be super boiling steaming sizzling hot. Hahaha. I can feel people reading it will feel the heat. Hehehe. Even myself can feel the heat it produce.

Think that is all I want to talk. If I want to continue explaining on more groups, this will be a never ending post. Your eyes will be tired of reading such a mega long entry. What I want to stress on is that, people clique to the group of people they are comfortable with. Why close to people who stresses you and do not care about you? Think it is a good idea to become close to people who really understand us. That is why we clique to people who we know have similarities with us. No purpose of becoming a member of group who make we feel down. Though not mingle with other group will be such a mistake, it is the best idea to be with our best buddies as the saying goes, “Birds of a same feathers flocks together.”
